My Source

My Source and DEI are searching for the best My Source radio spots around.

We're looking for compelling radio testimonials that celebrate the voices and authentic accents of local listeners. The more local the better - distinct accents and references to local streets, stories, and issues are all good things.  To inspire you to collect these voices and produce great spots, we’ve created the My Source Radio Testimonial Awards.

Three winning stations will get up to $3,000 cash. The first place winning producer, along with the community member in their testimonial, will be flown to the PRDMC in Orlando where they will be recognized for their achievement. Select stations will also receive money to convert local spots into work any station can use. Entering by June 20 is easy.

A team of judges will listen for compelling stories, local impact, and a distinct sense of place. Bonus points go to stations using their spots on multiple platforms like TV and the web. Here’s what the judges will be listening for. DEI is working collaboratively with a range of national organizatiosn and leaders to support this contest and the entrants. Partners include PRPD, PRX, AIR, IMA and StoryCorps.

We’ve got lots of tools to get you started. Check out the links below to find sample spots and guides for great testimonials, and sign up for DEI training webinar on June 4 and watch the webinar from May 8.

Thanks to all the stations that submitted entries to the contest. We will announce the winners at PRDMC on July 17th in Orlando, Florida.
