This curriculum of web conferences was created to provide stations with the same expert training and successful station examples featured in the regional workshops but are open to any public broadcasting station.

Web Conference with Dennis Palmieri:
Producing Powerful Video Stories of Impact
ITVS worked with renowned independent producer Bill Siegel and KETC to capture the impact of KETC's extensive, multiplatform community project "Facing the Mortgage Crisis." The project's goals were to mobilize the community partners who had created foreclosure-prevention resources, to connect St. Louis citizens to these resources through on-air, community events, and website content, and to raise overall awareness in the community of the devastating effect of the foreclosure crisis on the region's economic health. The project was a stunning success, literally keeping some St. Louis residents in their homes. Siegel and the KETC crew captured this impact, and the station's activities, using the My Source platform. Join ITVS' Director of Communications Dennis Palmieri, for an in-depth discussion of the planning and production techniques used to create these powerful testimonies, so that you can use them in your own market.
