"I moved to Columbia from St. Louis in 1984. I have only a high school education, but since I listen daily to KBIA, I know as much about our world as most anyone I talk to. I wish I would have had the money and drive to attend college when I was younger, but by the time I figured out how important higher education is, I was already bogged down with responsibilities and needed to keep working full time. I use KBIA as 'my source' of an education and I feel it has done a good job of keeping me as sharp as I could hope to be without formal study. Thanks, KBIA."

“KBIA is my source for daily radio satisfaction. When we moved back to Sedalia in 1993, I was so afraid I would have to learn to do without my classical music on the radio, and maybe even my NPR news that I had been accustomed to having in Savannah, Georgia. I was so pleased when I tuned around in the usual public radio area on the radio dial and found KBIA. I became a member that fall and will continue to be a loyal supporter as long as you continue this wonderful service. NPR has been the only reliable source for unbiased coverage in this presidential campaign. Thank you so much; don't ever change.”

"I have been an avid listener of KBIA for over twenty-five years. I grew up in a small Missouri town without access to public radio, and when I moved to Columbia in 1985, I was thrilled to find your station! Being a news junkie means there are never enough avenues to feed the addiction, but NPR gives me in-depth, behind-the-headlines coverage that fosters a more educated insight into today's pressing issues. KBIA has made me a more aware person, politically and socially. I feel a personal connection to your station, having had many opportunities to meet your staff. Darren feels like a personal friend! Thank you so much for allowing me the chance to tell you of my appreciation for what you do!"
