With the My Source Community Impact Awards for engagement, KJZZ is being recognized for their projects, Inspiring Youth and Connecting Generations through Public Radio.
KJZZ sponsors a Teen Radio mentoring project for local high school journalism classes. Several of the program’s alumni have pursued college degrees in broadcast communication. Through their work with young people, KJZZ staff realized that many teens connect with their parents through public radio content and the station provides opportunities for families to volunteer together at the station.
