With the My Source Community Impact Awards for engagement, KVCR is being recognized for their project, Reflections on War. 
 

My Source for reconnecting with my father.

Recognizing the necessity and urgency to preserve history for future generations KVCR invited local war veterans and survivors into their studios to record and share their experiences. These "Reflections on War" oral histories are broadcast throughout the year and are presented by the station to local VFW conventions and at events at the Palm Springs Air Museum. The project has built strong bonds between KVCR and the community, and between interviewees, their family and friends. New partnerships have evolved with community organizations, such as The Museum of Tolerance.
