With the My Source Community Impact Awards for engagement, WDET is being recognized for their project, Detroit Today. 

Metro Detroit is at the epicenter of the nation's financial crisis, and WDET-FM serves the city with accurate, in-depth local economic coverage through its daily news program Detroit Today. The city's challenges have also spawned optimism and innovation, with new solutions to regional economic development, urban restoration, environmental awareness and job creation. Detroit Today captures and communicates the complete story, helping local citizens cope with economic adversity and yet remain hopeful about Detroit's future.
