
The My Source Testimonial Tool was created to help stations engage directly with their audience in a conversation about the power and importance of public broadcasting. The tool provides stations with a unique way to utilize their website to capture and share viewer and listener stories.
With the Testimonial Tool, stations enable viewers and listeners to quickly and easily submit My Source audio, video, photos and/or text testimonials. The stories are tagged and stored in a shared database eliminating many of the technical issues associated with multimedia files.
The Testimonial Tool also provides stations with a creative way to share stories submitted by their viewers and listeners on their own websites as well as submit some of their favorite local stories to be shared nationally at MySourcefor.org.
Several My Source pilot stations experimented online strategies to collect and post My Source testimonials. Building on their experience, the Testimonial Tool was developed using best practices identified by pilot stations. The final program was also tested and refined by these stations.
To get started, identify a Testimonial Tool administrator at your station and request a password.
Once you have received your station’s password, click here to access the Testimonial Tool Admin site. There you can embed the tool in your station’s website and manage user submissions.
