
Through My Source, public broadcasting supporters are able to tell their own unique and personal stories about how public broadcasting serves as a source for information, entertainment and empowerment. Viewers, listeners, users and supporters will be able to share their stories online at MySourcefor.org and on station websites across the country. Public television and radio stations will also be gathering testimonials in their own communities.
Collectively, these stories illustrate the many ways in which public broadcasting contributes to a civil, diverse and participatory society.
The My Source Testimonial Tool allows viewers and listeners to upload My Source multimedia testimonials, including audio, video and/or text files, about their experiences with public broadcasting. Testimonials submitted via the testimonial tool may appear on the home page of MySourcefor.org and on various local public broadcasting stations’ websites.
You can view, hear or read what other public broadcasting fans have to say about the value that public broadcasting brings to communities all over the United States.

Join other viewers and listeners like you and even well-known personalities including Kevin Bacon, Kerry Washington, Jimmy Carter and Barbara Bush who have voiced their stories why public broadcasting is important to them. You are able to search the database of stories submitted by other viewers and listeners by clicking on “Search for Stories” in the tool. There you can search by program, genre, format (i.e. audio, video, text), or keyword. For keyword searches, correct spelling is crucial, and separate all key words with a comma. Capitalization is ignored.
You may share your story or other stories you like with your friends and family. by selecting a story and then, clicking the “Email This Story to a Friend” link. The recipient will receive an email message with a link to the audio or video or text file of your story.
You may also comment on any of the stories that you find particularly interesting or compelling. These comments will be reviewed prior to publishing.
